This is an unofficial blog of the work being perform in the University of KwaZulu Natal where we are endeavoring to create Africa's first Bose-Einstein condensation experiment. Hopefully the blog will contain pictures of the main achievements and milestones of the group as they walk the long road towards a BEC.

Xmas break status:
Cooling laser SAS set up
Repumping laser SAS setup
Tapered amplifier injected
Small part of vacuum setup and leak tested
The rest of the vacuum system will arrive at the end of January
lots more orders to come through as well (AOMs, optics, PSUs)
